The Wood-Portage-Waupaca chapter of WFU is set to host a candidate townhall on Tuesday, September 22 from 5:30-7:30PM at the Waupaca Public Library (107 S. Main St., Waupaca, WI 54981). Candidates running for the 8th Congressional District, 19th State Senate District, and 57th State Assembly District, and Waupaca County Sheriff have all been invited to attend. The event will include questions from the chapter related to farmland protection, public health and safety, and federal farm assistance. Attendees are encouraged to submit additional questions for the candidates through the registration form or at the door upon arrival. As this is a 501(c)(3) educational forum, all candidates have been invited and the conversation will remain focused on issues important to attendees and the local community.
