Pape Family Pastures - Women Caring for the Land 2019

Pape Family Pastures
Monday, July 8, 2019 (4:00 PM - 8:00 PM) (CDT)
Event Details

Come learn more about conservation practices and network with other farm women in your region! Husband and wife team, Aaron and Erin began Pape Family Pasures in 2016 with no farming experience, they were guided by the principles of soil health and Aldo Leopold's essay, The Good Oak. they raise pasture beef, pigs, and chickens. Women Caring for the Land was designed by the Women Food & Ag Network to serve women farmland landowners who are interested in learning more about conservation. Research has shown women value women-only meetings with their peers. These events provide women landowners and farmers the opportunity to network with their peers and learn from resource professionals. For these reasons, we do request that the early portion be women only . We do recognize though that men are also interested in learning more about conservation opportunities, therefore they are welcome to join for the potluck lunch and farm tour at 6. Potluck Dinner (Bring a dish to pass!) Registration and networking start at 3:30pm
