Do you want to help plan a visit to your Congressional District office? We are looking for a group of members who will help coordinate a visit to each Congressional District on either May 8th or May 9th.

Key messaging for the week:

The uncertainty in farm country is growing. Volatile markets, skyrocketing input costs, funding cuts, staff layoffs, a looming trade war, and the absence of a five-year farm bill are all putting family farmers and ranchers at risk. Congress must act—for farmers’ sake.

We can ease the burden on farmers by passing a strong, five-year farm bill that:

• Strengthens the farm safety net
• Builds upon voluntary conservation programs
• Creates more fair and competitive markets
• Protects and strengthens nutrition programs
• Expands and enhances permanent disaster programs
