We’re inviting local farmers and food producers to host a table where you can talk directly with consumers about what you grow, how you raise it, and—most importantly—how they can buy it from you. Whether you sell through a CSA, subscription, farmers market, meat share, whole or half animal, farm store, direct ordering, or another model, this is a chance to help people discover how easy (and often affordable!) it can be to buy food directly from a local farmer. We envision a casual, market-style event where consumers can: - Meet the farmers behind their food - Learn where and how their food is produced - Ask questions about farming and food safety - Find out how to purchase directly from local farms - Sign up for CSAs, meat shares, subscriptions, or other purchasing options - Discover ways to save money by buying directly from farmers This market is on Sunday, September 20th at Market on River in downtown Chippewa Falls. Tabling at this event is free for WFU members. A one-year WFU membership is $30.
