You’re invited to a Candidate Townhall and Harvest Dinner hosted by the Vernon-Crawford Farmers Union Chapter on Friday, October 9 at the Gays Mills Community Commerce Center from 5:00 - 8:00 pm. The event will start with a locally sourced dinner at 5:30PM, catered by Viroqua restaurant Maybe Lately’s featuring ingredients from Wisconsin Farmers Union member farms. As dinner wraps at 6:30PM, the Candidate Townhall will begin with questions prepared by the Vernon-Crawford chapter. Candidates will be invited to share their rural and agricultural policy platform. Additional audience questions will also be asked, as time allows. You can submit questions for the candidates when you register or at the door. This event is open to the public and we invite all community members to attend. Registration costs $10 for WFU Members and $40 for Non-Members (includes $30 WFU Membership). As this is a 501(c)(3) educational forum, all candidates have been invited and the conversation will remain focused on issues important to attendees and the local community.
