Description
Wisconsin’s climate has been changing. This is a trend which is projected to continue
and intensify. These changes are resulting in significant impacts to agriculture. This webinar will share information with attendees about projected impacts from climate change on Wisconsin farming. The content will focus on the Northeast Wisconsin region and will highlight need-to-know information for small farmers who are grazing or growing specialty crops. Small farmers in Northeast Wisconsin who are growing food for their communities must build resilience to climate changes in order to insulate and strengthen the local food system. Information in this webinar will be presented for a non-technical audience who may be new to climate change information. We hope that attendees will leave the webinar feeling empowered with information. We also want the farmers to learn about concrete strategies they could consider implementing on their own farm and tangible tools that can help them with farm decision-making.
