Convention Prep Session 2 (noon): How to be Effective in this year's WFU Policy Discussion

Description

Due to COVID-19, the WFU all-virtual policy discussion will look very different in 2021. In this session we will explain how the policy discussion will work this year. In particular, there will be a hard deadline of Dec. 1 for all proposed resolutions and Special Orders, and there will be no changes or "wordsmithing" from the floor, just up or down votes.) Policy Staff will also share proven strategies for building support for your policy ideas (as well as policy advocacy pitfalls to avoid). Note that this session is repeated twice on Wednesday, September 23 (noon-2PM and 7-9PM.) Members can choose the time that works best for them. This meeting is the second in a two-part series; the first meeting in the series is on September 16th.
